RE: My E36 SE Mtech Change
Original M Tech E36s are ten a penny, low miler original SE's aren't.
I'd keep it SE
RE: My E36 SE Mtech Change
Go M-Tech. :) Can always change back the bumpers and use standard SE skirts instead of twistys.

Will look half assed without the M Tech skirts though.
RE: My E36 SE Mtech Change
I think you have changed the car so much away from the original car it was that its up to you now what you would like to see from it ;)
RE: My E36 SE Mtech Change
go mtec, stick the sideskits on and screw them from the bottom, cant remember the stuff I stuck my skirts on with but it bonded perfect.it also pulls way from the paint if you need to remove but is hard work to thoroughly get off, anyway the paint will be perfect ad no holes
RE: My E36 SE Mtech Change
It's solely your decision...
Go for Mtec:tounge::hehe!::hehe!:
RE: My E36 SE Mtech Change
I would do something interesting like sourcing all the bits for an original AC Schnitzer body kit.
OEM retrofits, as said above, are ten-a-penny and frankly boring.

No I meant go full M-Tech, If he wants to revert to SE style he can just fit original bumpers and SE side skirts.
RE: My E36 SE Mtech Change
I think you should M-Tech it, not because I think all e36's should be M-tech kitted but I'd like to see this one done. Just seems like the right thing to do.
Re: My E36 SE Mtech Change
Thats not a bad idea from the doktor :D

RE: My E36 SE Mtech Change
Personally I think M-Tech looks better but if it was me I would have left the car completely factory spec and untouched
RE: My E36 SE Mtech Change
Another random suggestion what about the OEM aero kit ?
RE: My E36 SE Mtech Change
Id go with the m-tech as I don't think the se or or m-tech e36 body shape will ever become true classic plus with all the the changes its no a turn oem spec se at the moment anyway

Your car is not an SE as there was no SE spec level ever sold in an E36 in Southern Ireland.
As DoktorB suggests, try for something different.
Regards,
Andy
More details please? As far as I can see my car is a bogo standard SE?
As had been said, I may have deviated from the originality of the car ( bottle caps being stolen didn't help!), mtec coupe on silver sunflowers looks smashing!

But how would ya have managed it as a daily driver? E36 SE suspension sucks the fat one, really liked the car but couldn't deal with the handling! :)

I often saw that car on carzone over the years before you bought it and contemplated buying it myself but I wouldn't have used it as a daily.
If I had the space for another E36 I would have probably just kept it as an example of originality and an interesting contrast between the M-Tech styling but rarely actually used it.
I'm not saying what you've done with it so far is wrong, I imagine it's a lovely car to drive with the work that's been done so far, it's just not what I would have done to it
RE: My E36 SE Mtech Change
Someone's selling and Mtech kit in hellrot on driver... Just saying... :p
Re: My E36 SE Mtech Change
Re: My E36 SE Mtech Change
Non m-tech works for Alpina....... My e36 has the m front bumper, no skirts and non-m rear bumper! For me I think it looks a lot better and certainly different because every other e36 has been m-tech'd, so it's nice to be a little different!

Looks like just an M front bumper with standard skirts and standard
rear bumper with one of those stick on diffusers?

RE: My E36 SE Mtech Change
Stick it in a garage and sell it in 20 years if that's the worry, head out and buy a cheap little IS and kit that. What id do because I love pissing off the purest is mtec the car, slam it and enjoy it, I honestly though that's what cars are about
