BMW PARTS GROUP BUY Thoughts please!!!!
Hi Folks,
I am looking to run some group buys for Genuine OEM BMW parts and would like some feed back from you guys n gals as to what parts you would like to see being offered in group buys.
Some examples I can think of would be as follows :
- Windows rubbers for E36 coupes
- BMW Alloy centre caps
- Perishable exterior items on older BMW models like scuttle panels
- Brake dust guards
Etc etc, hopefully we can get enough feedback for items to start running some group buys on genuine parts.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts and opinions.
Hope this helps,
-
RE: BMW PARTS GROUP BUY Thoughts please!!!!

RE: BMW PARTS GROUP BUY Thoughts please!!!!
yep,bmw e36 mudflaps, still getting people after 50 euros for 4 used ones, cant be much more new surely.
tow eye covers, still haven't organised you to get me these.rear electric window switches that fit my motors(bought the mechanism and wasn't sent the switches and any switches I have got don't fit)
door rubbers,my e36 and e39 are a bit worn with rubbing against getting in and out of car.
that's the few bits I can think of but you know me I always forget other bits.
them little clips that cover the screws on bmw engine covers,
door clips to keep the trim on,used cheap ones and they only hold good for a while...
oem jacks,,my e39 broke the last day.

BMW PARTS GROUP BUY Thoughts please!!!!
E46 saloon drivers door trim that always bubbles up near the mirror.
I'm sure plenty of folk would buy one at the right price as they are hard to find used.

RE: BMW PARTS GROUP BUY Thoughts please!!!!
Definitely centre caps, bonnet/boot badges, and door/window/boot rubber seals. They are usually worn, and even if they aren't too worn, it makes the car look really fresh to have them new. It's all about the details ;)
Edit: Would take a full set of mud guards and door card clips as well actually!
Edit Edit: Missing one of those little covers that go over the screws for the engine as well, and as stupid as it is, it's wrecking my head and woud like to get it! ....OCD or what?! :D

Door seals are stupid money I hear at the dealers I hear!

RE: BMW PARTS GROUP BUY Thoughts please!!!!
E39 Front splash guards may be another one, there's not too many E39's that have them intact.
-
RE: BMW PARTS GROUP BUY Thoughts please!!!!
Gear knobs are always a needed bit too, also with wheel caps the small M badges too they are very cheap from memory.
Floor mats another, and maybe some M3 engines :D:D:D

RE: BMW PARTS GROUP BUY Thoughts please!!!!

-
RE: BMW PARTS GROUP BUY Thoughts please!!!!

Generally you best running with the below I feel,
4 pots - Z3 1.9 shifter €56.33 + delivery
6 pots - Z3M shifter - €67.00 + delivery
These can be placed on a larger order going into our EU suppliers are will arrive in 7-12 working days from date of order. By placing these on a larger order shipping is reduced quite a lot. Otherwise single orders incur a minimum shipping fee of €19.88 from our EU suppliers via DPD.
Hope this helps,
Cab
Could you do a kit with a refreshed plastic bearing thing etc?
How many would you need to consider a group buy for this?
I'd say we could get 5 together easily?
I was planning on asking you about htis soon.
Thanks ;)

Hi Dean it's the intake bellows for E36's, these are a common point of fail over time and split as Shaun has shown.
Hope this helps,

Hi Folks,
More ideas please for all model BMW's planning on running the next group buy once the shifters are in and out to customers. Was thinking of the E39 front splash guards as these always seem to be cracked or damaged in some way.
Many thanks,

RE: BMW PARTS GROUP BUY Thoughts please!!!!
Hi guys,
I shall get this up and running in the coming days, there shall be 2 running one of which shall be for "IN STOCK" items which shall be 5 working day lead time and the second shall be for "NOT IN STOCK" items which shall have a 12 working day lead time.
Generally most aftermarket parts like service kits, pads, discs, styling, interior styling and some tuning products are 5 day.
Genuine OEM items which are generally not in stock are a 12 working day lead time.
Hope this helps,
