My first guess would be that it thinks it's in gear.
Any particular reason why it might think that? or what could i do to check it.Quote:

When the car starts I would imagine it requests a boolean status from the transmission control system, it looks like it's requesting something that's failing to respond, it's assuming a fault and without communication from the gearbox, is assuming it's in gear.
Just a thought, could be wrong
Went to the car this morning and it starts now every time no problem. Want to figure out what caused it now before it happens again.
Hmmm, something is still up with it. Went to a petrol station to get diesel, wouldn't start again twice, and on 3rd time started no problem. Been grand again since then. No codes coming up on the diagnostics now after clearing them last night.
pump or injectors maybe?Quote:

There is some after market speedometer in the car and it has some dodgy wiring going into a relay, every time i turn up or down the brightness there is loud buzzing coming from the relay. Anyways, if the car isn't starting then i just have to mess around a bit with the brightness adjuster and it fires up straight away. Gonna try get a video tomorrow when the car doesn't start to show what i mean.
Going to buy standard e39 clocks now and get an auto electrician to sort out at all the messy wires and hopefully it will sort it.
