E36 M3 saloon that was on German eBay recently for €8k. Low miles and on Irish plates. It's a South African built car.

Was just looking at that!
If someone was in the market for a good one, being South African built, it should be a solid one??
Think they would have mentioned that??
Strong money though!
Very nice, is that a z3 steering wheel?Quote:

I had wondered where this had gone. I was interested in it some years ago. The mileage hasn't changed much. The original owner had an e39 Alpina in the same colour too.

Really; why's that?Quote:

Hardly a lower grade steel?
The smug lot over there with their nice weather don't believe in rust proofing that cars to the extent they are done in Europe, hence they tend to suffer more if they make it over here and the uk.
Oh and while I am at it, cheap low mile e36 saloon anyone???

Well now, that's a minter!Quote:

That B10 is lovely Andy. Any idea why John Clark gave up the Alpina sales?
Not sure , reckon Synter just had more of a foothold and got exclusivity.
Seen this earlier, machine!!!!

Nice find that Andy...tidy looking motor...should sell quickly with the weather we're having!
What do people think of this?: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/bmw/ac-schnitzer/bmw-1-series-acs1-sport-200-bhp-5dr-by-ac-schnitzer/1384130
I really like the back of these, not so sure about the headlights. But I can't make my mind up if the ACS stuff adds to this model or makes it worse?
http://img.pistonheads.com.s3-eu-wes...24296695-3.jpg
Im with you Jeff....the new 1 Series is a massive improvement, but the headlights dont do it for me! Its a pity they didnt improve on the older generation ones...they they done, it would have been a cracking looking car!!
On the ACS...when I seen the picture, that you posted, of the car side on....I thought, OH YES!!
Like the silver wheels pictured above and the black mirrors suit the red.
But it pretty much ends there...hate the front splitter, and rear spoiler is a bit meh looking up from the ground in the picture, but looks OK in the other pictures. Was never really a fan of those ACS exhausts...the merged twin pipes...give me two clean straight pipes any day!!

My old one back up for sale, its done less than 3k miles since I sold it to him, and its got 4 new tyres and a service it also got a new NI reg.
He offered it back to me at £12.5k the other day.[/u]
He didn't keep that long Michael. Do you reckon it was just a "ticking the ownership box" car for him?
how come it only has one previous owner?
Yeah possibly, either that or he figured he flip it over fast for a quick buck. It was for sale two weeks after he bought if off me but taken down again. There is no such thing as a quick buck on an M5...Quote:
