There are subtle styling differences - rear bumper has an extra splitter either side, and the front bumper is a subtle more aggressive bumper.
The E65 LCI Sport's with Style 149 wheels are catching my eye quite a bit lately!
Meant to also say that yes, the E65 came in a LWB Sport - https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sal...sport/11250606
Although, just looking at DD, there are some SE's that have similar rear bumpers to the Sports!
SE's tend to have the chrome strip on the bumpers too!
Yes, yes it is!! ;)

Well now - that is a fine looking car!!
1cent, 2c, 3c, ahhh feck it!
Is the roof lining not black on all sport models? Can't check link as donedeal doesn't like my phone!

thats a lovely 740i strong money though . And in no mans land of an engine if your going petrol 750i / 760i would be where ud want to be at . Ya looking at donedeal its confuseing some of the SE have the same body kit as the sports . Is there much of a different feel between the E65 and the E66 ?
Actually don't think he has - here is one from the Post a Picture of your car thread over on boards. It's gorgeous: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showp...postcount=8965

My ears started burning. :p
I'd agree to an extent about no mans land for the 740. By no means an underpowered car, but for a lot of people to justify the tax they need a 750+ and I understand that.
My dilemna before picking mine up was getting the right spec. There's so many poorly specced 750s and even 760s out there the mind boggles. I saw an Irish specced 760 recently with no heated seats!
Ideally, I would have picked up a 760Li Sport, with low miles and super high spec, in the same colour and same wheels.
But getting everything you want with these cars is so hard as there are so many variants of them. I'm delighted with my choice and having driven both a 750 and 760 since, I don't seel i'm missing out in the slightest.
If anything those cars were missing out, because both were poorer spec than mine.

I don't think they got a black headliner but not 100% sure on that , shadowline ,steering wheel ,suspension and seats

Pretty sure that is a sport model. There weren't as many hard and fast rules regarding sports as there was with the previous E38. But that one has sport seats, steering wheel, shadowline trim, 149s and most importantly its lower all round than mine is so it almost certainly is a sport model.
Just looking at your one and its sitting at se height looks to be sitting same as voodoos did it say se on the book as it shows up as se on the book using cartell

Sorry, with them seats, cream pillars and headliner i thaught it was an se, i thaught all sport had grey/black headliner
Yea it said se on the book, it was first registered to bmw dealer, so i dont know why that is, it was full m sport spec though, black headliner, steering wheel, shadowline trim etc.
To be honest as voodoo Siad it's very hard to really tell them apart unlike earlier models the e6x 7's don't follow the same path I don't think I'd be to pushed on the 7 in sport or se as they are so similar unless you wanted the suspension , its likely your one was an Se and someone ticked a few of the sport options iv seen a few se's with sport wheel and seats from the factory
Sport model to go for ,seats one of the main difference, only the look -shape of SE ones push me away .black headliner makes u feel like an home and mostly more extras .
I think suspension is the main give away, I doubt you could spec M-sport suspension on a non-sport car; could be wrong though. The sport seats are such a let down on the E65s from an aesthetic point of view, comfort seats are the only way to go!
I was reading recently on Dynamic Drive, it was standard from 2002-2004, but come the facelift version like mine in 2005, it became a cost option! But you did then get it as standard on sport models and the 760Li.
Thanks for the info lads.
What would be the main things to watch oit for on these ? would high mileage be a big no no ?
High mileage is always a big no no unless there is a Library full of receipts to accompany them!
even low mileage ones needs lot of work !!!!had few of them recently and they all need lot attention ,mileage well less 100k mls .its car not only with mileage but with age as well,so with any mileage it could be in same good or bad condition , and could need same work with high or less mileage
