Sierra I presume?
There's a decent looking (Although the interior is horrible) Moonstone 2wd Saph on DoneDeal for €10k
https://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/ford-sierra-sapphire-rs-cosworth/10126442
There's also a Black 4x4 apparently original Irish car!
https://cars.donedeal.ie/vintagecars-for-sale/sierra-cosworth-1990-4x4/10391705
VRT is supposed to be around €3k I'v heard.
Be careful if buying an Irish reg one, There's very few that are actually VRT'd correctly due to cost!
Uk reg is completely out of the equation.Quote:

€3000-4000 breaker unless you get someone stupid to sell a half decent one for that price
€4000-€5500 are keeper but would need some type of work.
€5500-€7000 plus are unabused maintained car low or high miles.
I heard of a guy who let one go on Friday in good shape for little money so you might be in luck but you would need to be quick
Thank you.Quote:

Care to enlighten us as to why prefacelift e46 m3's are puke bootlid handle and led rears make that much of a difference to you ? They hardly transform the car
M3 far superior car to drive but I'd sit and look at a 3dr Sierra/Escort cossie all day
good luck ,but, its dreams ! m3 engines cost about 3k , so how u think u will get complete car cheaper ?and in decent condition?Quote:

I would pay over the odds for a nice 3.0 with the original Amber indicators.
Wasn't there an individual one sold for 4K ish recently.
Champagne leather. 3.0.
What's your budget for a Sierra out of interest?
Don't do it lad :surprised:Quote:

I think.
Seems a realistic budget for a Cossie.
Best of luck in the search!

On the mobile now but re who would pay 6k for an e36, well I did about 2 years ago and the same car is worth that or more 2 years later with little work required to maintain it to that standard.Quote:

Thank you.Quote:

Thanks for the different views and opinions.

Eoin.
So you'd not pay 5k for an E36 because an E46 is better, but pay 10k for a Sierra Cosworth even though an E46 is better than it too? :surprised: might be hard to stomach but E36s are making close to E46 money. Supply & demand!Quote:

The Individual for 4k was a Santorini Blue 3.0
I'd say 20k+ sterling for a half descent 3dr cossie.Quote:

Supply and demand I suppose.
The Individual for 4k was a Santorini Blue 3.0 and it been broken and the black one is possible scrap if it is still sitting there. I understand where you coming from with the E46 been so close in price but they come with chassis issues so cheap is not always best. I had a choice of a
4x4 Shapphire cosworth and an Rs escorts cosworth that was 14k dear in 2001 this year I'm hearing these are we up in the 30,000 now.
I heard of an irish e36 M3 selling for 10+ last year
This is a well maintained e36 m3 on irish plates
127.000 miles what would u give for it ?

Don't like the colour combo. Black leather only with a silver car.
The colour of the leather would put you off an otherwise clean car that falls within budget?Quote:
