bump!!!!!!!!!!!
Thers 2 m5's on donedeal at the mo and 1 840 up north
Whats that? I don't think I'd buy one unless it had sunroof and heritage leather.... Hard to come by now though.
Eamo, Philip, Valdas (I think) and two other members had it. Philip fixed it, then he sold it, it ended up with damage to its sump after that, it's had an engine change in the last while as far as I know.
They seem to be steadily creeping up in value for tidy cars, I'd really tread carefully with all of them. It's a very easy car to spend 10k on.
I did a right job on it!

Oh dear hahaha
That looks like Kins old car - reg looks v similar
The second picture its like a dog with its leg cocked on a wall with all the oil running down :)
What does an engine rebuild one one cost? It mightn't be a bad car with a few quid spent. Would you be in and out for €5k? Another €800 for wheels reconditioning and maybe 1.5k for paint and exterior cosmetics. interior loks like in good nick for the mileage
5k to do a rebuild if you don't need a new block. 4K on top of that if you need a new block and you can't buy rhd blocks anymore, you need to buy a LHD block and modify the bracket for the alternator.
That's a very conservative estimate. €2500 for paint. Plus an easy 1k for bits.
€600 for wheel refurbish and assume you need to spend another 1k on tyres.
Another grand to recondition the interior.
Cheapest M5 in Europe my arse.

I was in that m5 before and had a good look around it,it was sold for half the price its up for by a friend of mine so that should be an indicator of its condition[emoji6]
Ive found one with 107k on it needs paint but all there, parked up quite a while though 4 years nearly and no vanos ever done? Value?
Pro or post facelift? Colour, spec?

Also service history?

00 but has facelift lights all around, usual spec has only half leather,n carbon black, has bilstein coilovers in it and big brakes all around, service history only up to 50k as the owner is a mechanic and says he serviced it every 4k miles since he got it
The difference is more than just aesthetics. The facelifts have revised rings and use less oil.
Also, pre facelifts are more prone to vanos issues
But to answer your questions. If it's tidy I would say it's worth around 10 - 12k mark.
I must dig out the repair pics from my old iphone.
Yup I sold it to Kris who then damaged the sump and was repaired with new one with Valdelis. It then sold to another 2 owners and ended up with Ben who fitted another engine.
Currently for sale in Limerick and took a price drop form 16500 to 13500 last week.
Its not a concours car by any means and Irish poverty spec from new but would be a good project car.
