Quote for fitting 328 exhaust + m50 manifold
Not sure where to post this, please feel free to move it.
I was quoted 260 euro in Ardfallen Motors in Cork to fit a full 328 exhaust and m50 manifold ( provided by me ) and the gasket or seal for manifold is provided by them and worked into the 260. I maintain the guys there are professional and gents to deal with, but this feels like a bit of a rip off... What do you think? I know it's a bit awkward with the exhaust you have to weld the lambda sensor somewhere else or somethin but does 260 not seem a bit steep?
Do you know or can you recommend someone reliable in Cork that can fit these without fudging it up? Don't want to end up having vaccum leaks or engine running rough after fitting...
Any input or recommendation is highly appreciated!
Cheers.

Sounds a bit steep alright, theres a few hours labour in it but not 260 euro worth....
Try a few exhaust centres, but I would suggest staying away from the likes of quik fit and similar franchise's..

That's what I thought! Yea definitely don't want to go to a place I don't know...
RE: Quote for fitting 328 exhaust + m50 manifold
I would say ,if you provide everything, including 325 oil breather set up,exhaust and inlet manifold in my place would be circa 150 ;)
RE: Quote for fitting 328 exhaust + m50 manifold
Would love to stall up there, but I'd just end up paying the difference or more on fuel :/
Thanks though!
Question, how much is it for a new gasket/seal for the inlet manifold?
RE: Quote for fitting 328 exhaust + m50 manifold
If 328 exhaust is going onto a 323 it's a straight fit and you don't need to touch the lambda.

There must be someone local to you that could fit m50 manifold - maybe ask davemsport?

Thanks hamish, I did but I think he's fairly busy these days. Just want to get them fitted asap as I'm moving house and don't want to be lugging this stuff around and have it sitting in an appartment ya know.
RE: Quote for fitting 328 exhaust + m50 manifold
If you're not driving it why not just attempt it yourself over time. No better feeling than finishing a job and knowing you've done it.
RE: Quote for fitting 328 exhaust + m50 manifold
Would love to know what that feeling is like haha. No tools or space, and I wouldn't trust myself to do it. Definitely can't fit the exhaust myself anyway, and want the peace of mind that somebody that knows what they're doing fitted the manifold.
RE: Quote for fitting 328 exhaust + m50 manifold
i put all those stuff by myself.
no need welding anything cos the exhaust is straight fit. - lambdas are before cats so no need to touch them at all.
for manifold - took me around 3-4 hours to put back everything in.
all u need to do , to prepare urself - I mean to get all parts (B&Q) :P
I did all of those on my drive way.

I would fit all stuff for you with some ur help and few beers :P
