basically since I've plans for a lot of power I need better braking,
anyone have any suggestions , one stipulation is that it must fit behind 17' alloys,
any help is much appreciated and the crazier the swap the better :)

Your choice is endless if your budget is endless. But unless your tracking your car a imho a bbk is a complete waste of money if you want extra performance on a day to day basis but they will look :cool:
Good disks (no cheapy drilled/grooved sh!te), good pads, braided lines and good fluid will make the world of difference.

the standard 330 e46 brakes are class, for piece of mind use good quality brake fluid/discs and pads. and they just squeeze behind style 5's. i think the disc's are 330mm aswell

Yep, e38 one's need a bit of work to fit, a bit of cutting and welding is involved. I should have mine fitted shortly, im going to use e46 m3 discs rather than csl's though. Ill put up a few pics when i have them fitted.
