Thanks, she’s a looker for sure!
That is amazing, is it an M47? Much work done to it?
My 325 reached 150k miles yesterday.

Mine definitely isn't a looker after this mileage!
Ya it's the M47. I removed the swirl flaps and changed to the vortex type ccv filter when I bought it. Only oil changes since then about every 9,000 miles. I also got it remapped when I bought it. It doesn't lose a drop of oil between changes either.
The rest of the car has needed constant maintenance though. I'd say rust is the thing that will get it in the end.

I found the keys!!
Last Christmas we were away for the holidays, so I emptied the rucksack I use for the work laptop to bring with me. I keep a loop with keys for all of the cars and they were in it, so I put them somewhere "safe" in the house. It must have been a great holiday because for the life of me I had no clue where they were after I got back. I had spare keys for everything, EXCEPT the Z4. I've spent time over months checking obvious places, less obvious places and really obscure places that I thought might have been Eureka moments, but nothing.
Yesterday, while minding my own business doing something at the desk in the room we use for an office the whole set literally just popped up from under the open cover of a folder that has been sitting there for months!
Time to slap a few months tax on the Z4 and pretend its summer :)
A few updates on the E46 fleet. First up, the 325.
A job I have been procrastinating for quite some time - replacing the CSB and guibo on the propshaft. I got a local garage to replace the bolts and nuts on the exhaust to manifold branch back in Jan. This made my life a bit easier when it came to removing everything.
With the exhaust and propshaft off, I also replaced the gearbox mounts and cleaned up the exhaust as best as I could. The car is much better but still getting some vibration when moving off.
So…everything needs to come back out and I have ordered a centering bush that might be worn.
The car reached 150k miles a few weeks ago and in typical fashion, the window switch broke, so a new one was ordered from bmw. Still love driving this car!
I bought a set of Clubsport wheels for her so I plan on getting these refurbished over the winter. 3 sets of wheels for this car now [emoji23]

Next up, the 320Ci. Replaced the rear springs with Eibach pro kit as I noticed one of the springs was broken before its NCT. It failed the NCT on worn tie rod ends. Luckily, I had a brand new set in my wardrobe [emoji23] which were destined for the 325. Also fitted new droplinks and new steering boots. A quick alignment afterwards and she flew through the nct. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c71c577e86.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...91e7b10379.jpg

On the 318, I replaced the rear discs and pads and that flew through the NCT and into storage to make way for the M3. Replaced with ATE discs and Textar pads.

Finally, the M3 failed the nct on a worn front wheel bearing, broken rear spring and no contact between pad and disc. I fitted new pads ( loads of life in the old ones, so I’m not sure about this), replaced the springs with an Eibach pro kit and the wheel bearing was replaced yesterday. Hopefully she will get through this week.

Nice work!
I love the Clubsport wheels. Always wanted a set of those when I had my E46(s) but I could never find any that weren’t really expensive.
They don’t look in bad nick in those photos.
A Clubsport boot spoiler is now a must…
Thanks! I sourced this set from Germany. Spent the last 6 months pestering sellers but most of them didn’t want to ship. Those that didn’t mind were then very suspicious when I didn’t even try to haggle the costs..anyway, I wanted a set of original wheels that weren’t refurbished. Two of the wheels aren’t great as water has gotten under the lacquer.
For some reason, any of the refurbished wheels that I looked at, the quality was woeful.
No on the spoiler though, but it would look good on the Estoril [emoji3]

So I need to get the EGR recall done on my F10.
Anyone have one done recently and what kind of time frame involved? I'm hearing no appointments till October in my local dealer..
Got my passenger side seatbelt butler to extend finally. It was coded out by a previous owner.
Car was NCT exempt for its first few years, disabled driver perhaps. Might explain the need for deactivation
Carried out a wee service on the old 325 today. I fitted the Clubsports to the rear a few weeks ago to see if I like them. I’m happy enough, so a full refurb is on the cards over winter. The 320 got a service yesterday too [emoji2]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...22e993e413.jpg
