That was a shame. Chris Fleming has some great cars over the years. I was in the old premises recently, it’s a coffee shop now. Pity there is no automobilia on the walls.

I bought an A4 2.6 V6 Avant from him about 6 months later (the last non-BMW I bought prior to picking up Mrs D's Golf wagon last year). Easy guy to deal with I found. I lived close by for a while in the late '80's and hurt my nose sticking it to the windows ogling the stock.
I definitely regret selling the 728i. It was the right thing to do at the time and the new owner loves it and treats it like a baby which is great to see.
The only other car I really miss is my Mk1 MX5. Had it for a few years and loved it but got a cheap Z3 and thought it was better because it had a BMW badge and leather seats! Big mistake. I got rid of that Z3 and now have the nicer one but I’d swap it in the morning for that same MX5!
The guy who brought it in whom I bought my E30 325i sport also was selling this at one stage. I made an offer but he wanted another couple of grand and the deal never happened. I regret not going for it. It was a low mile UK car. He bought it on eBay for under £10k.

Thread bump
I miss my old e60 535d it was a lot more raw…. I love the f10 535d I have but the e60 looks so good when you pass it on the motorway..
I’m wanting to replace the f10 535d and just feel I’ll have the same thoughts …
Pining after an Ex 😂😂
Don’t think I’ve ever seen this thread before. Some lovely cars!
I also miss my E60, albeit it was a mere 520d. Great car and in hindsight I had no good reason to sell it. As time goes on I’m more and more impressed with how well they’ve aged.
I obviously regret selling my M4, but it was no longer fit for purpose as a daily as I started to do more heavy commuting for work. So maybe that’s not true regret.
I do regret selling my first E46 318Ci - nothing particularly special about it except that it had a white leather interior that I only realised was quite rare after I sold.
So the only one I really still think about was my 1993 Mazda Eunos (MX5).
A really cracking car which drove beautifully and turned heads with its black paint and new beige roof that I had fitted. Stupidly I bought a fairly standard Z3 and couldn’t rationalise having both and went the snob route of BMW is better. Both are now gone and I don’t miss the Z3 one iota but the MX5 would be a classic now and I kick myself whenever I see a nice one.
I do sometimes miss my Individual 728i with the big Alpina wheels but I have the better 740i now so I think it’s just the wheels I miss!
I’m in a crazy scenario that I still have 2 other cars there not being used… it’s a catch 22
Hard to sell a car that you’ve had 18 and 13 years respectively but they’re not just a fiesta or polo… I wish there was limited mileage car tax…
