I have more regrets for car's that I didn't buy than for car's that I sold
On the flip side, about 6 years ago I rang a lad about a stunning looking 1 owner, full history, high spec Alfa 159 2.2 JTS petrol for herself and he said sorry, just sold it this morning to the first viewer.
Disappointingly I said no problem and kept up the search. About 3 weeks later the same car turned up on the damaged repairable section of DD with a paper weight engine after the timing chain let go.....
Knew I would find it eventually

And keeping on the touring theme, I regret not buying this Irish E34 540i touring. I think it was a one owner judge car with not bad mileage. It had cool cloth seats too. I think I should have gone for a longer test drive.

On that theme, in Sept 2001 I looked at a 1 owner, original Irish 92 535i that Chris Fleming (previously of Sussex Terrace, near the old Burlo hotel) had, a 535i Sport in all but name. Asking price was IR£8750, iirc. Took a day or two to think about the leap from a 325i to a 535i and by the time I figured it was do-able, it was gone. The previous owner part-x'd it against a new Jag X-Type. I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time.
