Definitely the best optional extra you can get on the car bar none. Makes a massive difference to driving at any speed and well designed to. The one I have for the E46 is fantastic.

Took the M5 out of its hibernation house, snowfoam, de-tar, de-iron, remove old wax, machine polish with medium cut pad and fine polish(Carpro Reflect) repeat with fine pad and super fine polish (Carpro Essence) , and finish with Collinite 845 wax. Blacken the trims, bit of tyre shine, and wax the rims.
Now, where's my motor tax renewal form...

It was bright(ish) so I decided that it was as good a time as any to do the annual oil change on the e36.
It helps make it easy when you have the right gear! Every second year I switch between draining via sump or draining via the dip stick tube!

Needless to say I reset the oil service indicator with my INPA set up specifically for e36/e34.

Also changed the crank position sensor o-ring, common leak on these cars and this one has been leaking for some time it seems.

Yes, everything off to get the SC out. Very easy to get the front off, the SC intake pipe and the small water pipe to the back of the SC are tricky to undo and refit, but nothing off putting.
Service mode with the radiator (front panel) pulled forward gives enough room for the crank sensor job if your not removing SC.
Did this mod on the e36 rear window switches, £5 for switches, been meaning to do it for about 12 years....finally some!
It's the little things, being able to bring up all four windows with one touch of the central switch is very satisfying...no doubt it will wear off as a novelty very quickly!
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a1ff8988df.jpg
The green switches are for front windows, they are one touch up & down, white switches are rear windows, one touch down only, blue switches are a central "all window" switch, this is one touch down only too. Normally you have to press and hold to bring rear or all windows up.
Essentially all I did was put the "lid" (top of button) from the blue based central switch on to a green based front window button. Then just pared away a bit of locator tab on the connecting cable.

Locator tab pared away with a Stanley knife.

For the rear window switches just swap the white based for green ones and pare the tab off the connector as well. Handy mod!

As you can see the seller put some nice 3rd party wheels on it but included the original 17's in excellent condition with Conti tyres on it as part of the sale as well as retaining all keys, manuals and the original wind deflector.
The best part? Mileage is only 34,000! To say he is a happy camper is an understatement.
Nice car there Irish, looks like near Mallow?
As for mine, well this finally arrived, it seems to do a good job. But I'm not sure about the looks of it and also the fact that it takes the windy feeling away! I'll give it a bit of time though.

I used to find taking pictures of the red E36 I had was a pain, the red plays havoc with phone cameras. Looks like the red saturation is completely out of whack right across the picture.
