Limited market for an older ///M car I suppose, especially within the dealer network.

Conlons seem to do this a fair bit taking on higher milage, older m cars and selling them for a premium, nothing wrong with that, I rarely test driven a car that didnt have the fuel warning light on, and a AUC warranty give a lot of piece of mind on a car like that.
Not a great pic but it’s the new 8erhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...16da218457.jpg

If I'm not mistaken, that outside the old Chris Fleming premises on Sussex Terrace? If so, if you look closely you'll probably still be able to make out the imprint of my face on the glass from frequently pressing up against it from the late '80's when Chris was there. He tended to have a nice selection.
The one that got away there was a '92 535iSport, with around 35k miles and a fBMWsh for just under £10k, iirc, in 2001. I took a look and then dilly dallied too long before deciding I wanted it. The one non-BMW I've had in the past 21 years was a 2.6V6 A4 Avant that came from there.
Waayyy before my time Dergside[emoji23]. That is Sussex Terrace, the Dermot Wallace showroom is a few steps up further on Sussex Road. Always worth having a quick look in there when I pass by on my route but the more interesting stuff gets left outside parked on the road...the likes of the odd retro Merc or maybe a scruffy 964...I’d guess these would be the trade ins [emoji848]

Spotted Peter in his beautiful 530! Really stands out these days
The e36 328i passed through there a good few years ago too. As well as having lived in vicinity myself for a while many years ago, my MIL lived a stones throw away for quite some time so I had plenty of opportunity to press my nose against that window too through the years. Unfortunately, most of the time my interest was merely what was the quaint old past time of Window Shopping, didn't usually have the funds to go in-doors! Same holds true, sadly, today in respect of the 8xx.
Aaah, Andy, don't get me reminiscing or I'll get no work done......
Pity what happened with DC's after they moved out of Rathmines. If we're strolling down memory lane, I have fond memories of visits to Crosbie's on Lad Lane with my brother in the early '80's, a proper Alladin's cave, and strolls past in my own time in that part of town trying to spy what was tucked up indoors. I think my brother may have bought a car or two there in the day.
