No sympathy for people that do it...if you have trouble paying out 1400 or 1800 quid then you shouldnt be driving that particular car, just get a smaller engine!

The lads in 325/525d LCIs might end up getting a refund off revenue :D
What's gonna happen to garages who signed off forms without ever opening a bonnet on a car, will revenue follow up on all them as well?
I'm actually surprised it took em so long to cop on, this has been going on at least four years now
Yea sure we'll all drive 1.0s sure. With an attitude like that is it any wonder money is wasted paying Gards to look at shit like this in an effort to take more and more from people they already take so much off.Quote:

There are plenty of people driving around in 10 year old 3.0L cars and prepared to pay the tax.
It's always hilarious to see how people justify tax evasion when they're doing it themselves.
But put up a thread about tax exiles or tax avoidance and the majority would probably say those doing so should be strung up / go to jail etc etc etc.
Simple fact is this is fraud and tax evasion and is against the law.
A 6 year 530d is CO2 tax anyway. [emoji1]
Relatively speaking, taxing a 5 litre is a bargain [emoji16]
It works out at €4.55 per HP vs a 530D which is €7.80 per HP
Man maths at its finest [emoji41]
As above, nobody has to drive a bigger engined car, and if you dont wanna pay the tax, dont buy the car.
Is it not that simple?
I'm not happy about paying €1,220 a year (€305 x 4) for my 13 year old 325, but i do because i enjoy driving it.
With the mileage i do, it works out at about 50 cents a mile.
again main problem is inside the system ! who let them to pass these forms ?? why these who let them go threw didn't get in court??they let to do this , so people do this ! and will do everything to get away paying as less as possible .
actually its on their own , to pay full or half .for me its doesn't matter , roads are peace of shite , I don't want even to drive sport car on these fucking roads , so why I should pay road tax???
I might drive M3 daily , buy much more petrol ,but I cant drive it on back roads every day living in Irelands capital .so maybe I must save money ,and wish ill spend them later on in different country and ill be more happy to spend them there it makes my smile while driving
Should be a load of 530s going cheap over the next few months so. Buyers market really!
