I decided to show my strat some love:
As it was:

I fitted a genuine fender 1962 spec 11 hole black 3ply pickguard.
Also replaced the humbucker with a single coil from the spare parts collection.

Back of pickguard and all cavities are now shielded too.
Next on the list is a pickup upgrade and then block the tremolo.
I know it's only a squier but it's a really nice example and it plays superbly. Plus it was my first guitar and has sentimental value.
That looks very well John, nice work.
Regards,
Andy

nicely done. What kind of stuff do you play? I have an sg copy myself trying to get back into it. I like the scale lenght on the guitar you have. Really like playing fenders through a marshall too!Quote:

Love a bit of dire straits and have taken an interest in funk lately, trying to learn the style of Nile Rodgers.
I'm only an amateur at best though! I mainly play bass but am enjoying the guitar a lot lately.
Nice work John, I'm the same with my first guitar I'd never let it go. I paid 25 punt for it and it had no hardware I had to build it myself from used bits. I also have an SG which is in dire need of a service, buzzing like mad and sounds totally crap. Currently have it partially stripped and got the neck relief set.
Galway rightly saddled the flooding/storms at the minute. Cars were blown off the pier!!
