Anyone who knows anything about first aid knows that nobody should administer first aid unless they are trained and qualified to do so.
The thing about an epipen is what if it is given to someone who is displaying "anaphalactic-like" symptoms i.e. taking a fit but isnt actually having an anaphalactic reaction. By administering the epipen you could instantly kill the person.
Its alot to ask of a person behind the counter in a pharmacy to be able to diagnose and administer the correct medication.

Is there not a decent time frame between the beginning of the allergic reaction to potential death i.e. enough time for an ambulance to arrive?
