very sad may she r.i.p
Common sense should have been used by the pharmacist they could have saved the girls life
I get the impression that she didnt have the Girl with her. So you cant blame the pharmacist. Thats assuming it was a pharacist and not just a cashier/counter jockey.Quote:

The person behind the counter cant take Joe Public's diagnosis and prescription of what drug is needed.
As tragic as it is, at the end of the day, the girl should have had her own epipen and the mother or father should have also carried one in case of emergencies.
Cant blame a person for doing thier job.
"Cant blame a person for doing their job"
Yes you can john of course he has to follow the rules but if a distressed woman comes into the shop he should have grabbed the epipen and went with the women to the scene were the girl was
You CANNOT always go by the book life is not black and white and some situations need to be assessed as they occur while he/she is not directly to blame if I was in that position and I didn't act the death would be weighing heavily on my conscience for the rest of my life
"Just doing there job" tell that to the girls family
Very tragic, such a sad thing to happen.
I have a nut allergy too but luckily enough I only have mild reactions, always wondered should epipens be in first aid kits or would that be a little reckless. Maybe even in a small dose of adrenalin to stabilise the reaction until an ambulance arrives.
