By the time I can afford to run an //M the E9x will be quite cheap like the E46 is now. This pleases me, what a soundtrack!!!
Just in time for the mid life crisis @[John_D] :D
Looking forward to the same myself!
Im not sure the e9x's will ever be as cheap as e46 M's or ever get cheap for that matter.Quote:

There was 15k e9x m3's made in rhd less then the e46 m3 but more then the e39 m5 and the e36 m3
Cant see them ever reaching the lows of the e36 m3's a few years ago but id say give it a few years 5 or 6 and they will be similar to e46 money about €10k
(66k made in lhd)
The 46 m3 is about to be killed off by drifters over the next few years too I'd say as the e36 was.Quote:

Have thought this too, it's something that would draw your eye to a car normally but I've yet to see a car on the road with a reg like that...I assume newer uk imports have died off big time anyways. Good luck to the Garda if they have to call out a ten digit reg over the radioQuote:

But a long number plate wont bother you if your sitting in your heated seats setting the sat nav while the climate control keeps you comfy vs paddy spec no aircon sweating his ass off rolling his windows down sticking the tomtom to the window but with only 5 digits on the reg plate [emoji1]
With 11D they are around the 46,000 mark now not the crazy big no. Father got a 320d and he is 11D44*** and my brother got a Merc 11D45*** recently.Quote:

In a BMW dealer today at parts. I over hear the guy behind me waiting for me to finish talking to another customer boasting he has a '99 M5. Naturally my ears tune in and he proceeds to tell the guy it's the first of them. So as I go out to the parking area I am expecting to see a very nice E39 M5 only to be greeted by a tacky piece of crap standard E39 with a tacky kit, M5 badges and dumb pretend side M5 wing grills. I kind of had to laugh :)

As I do a lot of driving with my job I come across all sorts of weird and wonderful driving. Here is a regular scenario:
Driving along a relatively empty dual carraigeway in the left lane. In the distance you see a slower moving vehicle in the outside lane with even though there are no other cars. Do you a) continue as is passing on the inside giving the obligatory dirty scolding look or do you b) pull out to the outside lane in an attempt to get the driver to move over thus passing on the outside as technically you are supposed to and then pull back to the left showing the other driver correct lane discipline?
I've often pondered that one myself...Quote:

I'd normally pull in the right lane, give them the option to see me and if not then I'd be forced to use the inside!
On the m50 I undertake as there is so many cars and I take keeping left serious. On any other road if they are genuinely not overtaking I will pull behind them and wait about 30 secs. After that I flash and beep if required until they pull left. People need to be taught. Lane hogging in this country is getting worse.
Have done both Andy, if in undertaking I do it slowly as you can never predict what the clown in front will do. Sometimes I overtake correctly and pull in using plenty of indicators to show how it's supposed to be done.
Think that's bad, check out Newlands Cross from J1 to J9/10 & J9/10 back to J1 since the upgrade/overpass. Lane hogging JOKE SHOP
