Well the multi is currently the only bike that has all these toys. The KTM 1290 would be close but doesn't quite have all the toys.Quote:

4800km on the bike now.
Really starting to feel at ease with its limits, starting to switch between the modes now more too, the bike actually sits lower in Urban mode so is easier to manage, I did set the power up in Urban mode as 100hp isn't enough when you spend most of your time accustom to 160hp.
I've gotten braver and I've started to use Sport mode more, the bike hunkers down when you select sport mode and then exhaust is louder by virtue of a flap in the exhaust.
The handling is immense and there's a huge margin for error, it's very willing to change its line mid corner. Still chuffed with it.
The headlight is shining into the sky though, pissing a lot of on coming traffic off.
I've ordered the Ducati Performance full titanium Termignoni race exhaust with removable decibel killer, remap and performance fair filter.

6200km covered now.
Fitted a few bits
First, had a termignoni full racing exhaust fitted.

This was a bit of a gamble, the bike didn't sound right stock so I went for this as every termi I've heard sounds amazing but I didn't know of one fitted in Ireland, so just ordered it without hearing it. It's a Ducati Performance part so doesn't effect the warranty and comes with a remap due to the exhaust flap being deleted and the fuelling needs to be altered.
Before picking the bike up, the company fitting the parts called me to say they had an engine light, I had called Ducati about applying the upmap (that's what they call it) and they said it was plug and play.
The guys started the bike immediately after fitting the exhaust, so I figured it just needed to be cleared, called Ducati, they said they would clear the light for free (in lieu of the fact that they never tightened my oil filter when they did the run in service and resulted in a ridiculous oil leak).
I was worried that I wouldn't be happy with the exhaust, it was very loud with the baffle out and sounded crap with the baffle in also, cold starts were deafening.
So I took the bike up to Ducati, which was a little more than an hour away. At a healthy pace I would average about 38mpg with the panniers and top box on. With the exhaust fitted this was the same. I didn't notice any difference in power but thought it was a smoother power delivery.
Anyway, got to Ducati, turns out the dealer needs to apply the upmap. Had the upmap applied, this bike is completely bonkers on sport mode now, it's ridiculously capable, the power deliver is more instant too, previously you needed to wait for the exhaust flap to adjust then you'd get power, it's smoother and feels like it has more torque. I don't really care about whether the power has changed but it's much more usable.
Doing the same speed over a much greater distance, it was about 250km home, the bike averaged 45mpg, which is a huge difference.
The upmap also deleted the cold start so it starts much quieter. I wasn't sure whether I would like the look as much as I like the stock exhaust but I really like it. Very happy that I spent the money.
A cool thing worth noting is that the exhaust changes depending on riding mode, in urban mode, 100hp, it's quieter, I'm guessing because the throttle bodies don't open as wide and the valve overlap doesn't change, it's perfect for being in town, it's loud but not intrusive. In sport mode it's really very loud but a great sound. It pops and bangs on the over run and just sounds mean, it's a quality sound.
The other bits that I fitted were a keyless fuel cap, you have 30 seconds to open the fuel cap after you turn off the ignition. Sounds silly but very handy.

Fitted billet aluminium Ducati performance frame plugs, these things were silly money but look great

I had a taller screen fitted as the wind blast was right in my eyes.

I got a few other bits too, the I silver trim on they panniers was changed for the trim being shipped on 2016 bikes, I got pannier liners, which are just bags that perfectly fit the panniers and top box, very handy got travelling.
I've fallen in love with it all over again.
Think I'll put it away for the winter soon.
An absolute peach of a bike and brilliant bits done to it already, fair play to ye
Thanks!Quote:
