Re: What did you do to your car today
Interesting the difference of opinion on the vreds as they score high very high in fact
I did notice however one guy who bought a second set and they were not as good as his first reckons they may have played around with the compound you can see it on the first review in the link below

Contis and michelin are a premium tyre vredestein is not so its not a fair comparison similar to comparing nankang to vreds
Vreds will be poor for the first 2-300 miles until they scrub and getting the tyre pressure spot on is key
Anyway they have been superceeded now by the vorti and vorti r

Looked at the Vorti when i was ordering the Sessanta's and i would've gone for them only they're very wide by all accounts, and i needed a narrower tyre to clear the rear arches.
On a side note, i have to say Gar, your posts are always that bit more informative, cheers for taking the time
What did you do to your car today
Gar you are a wonderful individual as Don said.
Regards,
Andy

It was Gar who recommended the Rain Sport 3's.....so its on him if they are poo! :p
Surprised there are two very different opinions on the Vred's, either very capable or pants...no middle ground. Thought it might have been the Ms that the Vred's struggled to deal with, but seems to be across all power delivery that opinions are divided. Strange!!
I hve 34 PSI in the fronts amd 36 PSI in the rears and really cant fault them in any road conditions.
RE: What did you do to your car today
Have not had much time to do stuff with the cars recently but gave the e63 & e39 a bit of a valet today. Snow foam to start with, IronX on wheels & tyre walls, AG Fast glass on the windiws, AG wheel seal on alloys, Meguairs Endurance Gel on the tyres.
Dodo Juice Red Mist on the e63 & I went with HydrO2 on the e39. That HydrO2 stuff is worth checking out folks, have a look at the group buy in DetailingShed's section.

I'll be the voice of the middle ground! Had them on the Clubsport and thought they were okay. Decent in the dry, but grip in the wet was lacking, under hard acceleration the traction control would kick in until I reached fourth. Wear was fine too to be honest, when I bought them they were mid range and price that way, I got exactly what I paid for.
Have to say, cant praise PS3's highly enough, excellent tyre ?

No, unfortunately not.
Just to brighten up a dull Sunday evening I gave the e36 a spruce up before putting the cover on for the winter.
