Not so much. Onus is on the person seeking insurance to provide, and substantiate if necessary, all of the information to allow the insurer to assess the risk they are taking in providing cover. If they feel, whether because of social media info or anything else, that they don't have all the facts then they have a right, and probably a duty, to either seek more confirmation of the facts or to refuse to provide cover.Quote:
