Dropped it off to cab at super4 which all I can say was it was great to meet a mechanic who Clealry loved his job and was extremely helpful.
And thanks to Peter who came up aswell and is now also parked up at cabs due to an unforeseen problem which will now be fixed .
Fitted this today. Putting the final touches to an E28 restoration.
I just got this back from Royal steering wheels. This is the old mushroom type gear knob in nappa leather which is now NLA.
This one is a bit special as the original had the gaitor and gear knob all made from one piece of nappa leather. Royal steering wheels did a great job replicating the original.

I really love this car. Almost finished, just waiting on original ///M kick plates which are NLA but I have sourced a set of four, and a period 1987 pioneer CD player that the car was originally fitted with, not easy to find either.
Have you tried to split the rear cards yet @[Gar]? It's an absolute bitch, they're glued together!Quote:

Plastic welds are also in place.
Fronts came apart fine, I'm gonna buy a leather reconditioning kit for the heritage bits before I put them back together.
Same as you with the fronts, came apart no problem.

I cannot get the rears to come apart. Drilled all the rivets. Won't budge, even heated it up with a hot air gun, didn't budge.

Fuck!!! Thats a spanner in the works [emoji35]
It's a bag o'gee alright. How did you fix these bits back? Best way I can see is to glue them. Screws will just go through them.Quote:
