AIB wouldn't quote me anything reasonable on the M3 - actually they wouldn't quote online and wanted a call. Was that a full quote or quick quote?
AXA have been competitive most years, AA offer policies through them too - I was 520 on the M3 this year.

Seems expensive enough, what age are you?
I remember getting quotes of less than 1k about 3 years ago when I was 25ish.
Although insurance has probably gone up in the last few years.
I'm 25, it has gone up last year 12% and has gone up/is going to go up another 20% this year! According to the radio anyway...

AIB was over the phone, fully comp etc it's not terrible to be honest but I was hoping to pay less than a 1000 euro.
I am with AXA at the moment, I'm going to cancel my policy tomorrow though as they say I have to be over 30 for the M3. I mentioned I already bought the car, and really tried to negotiate over the phone but it was a no go unfortunately.
Still waiting on the quote from Steve's Dad (arachas.ie) should have it tomorrow at some stage. If I can't get anything better in the next couple of days I'll just go with the AIB quote.

1200 isn't too bad for the car that it is. Just make sure you get all the cover you need, NCB protection would be handy too. Jap imports are way worse to insure and its still 609 cheaper than the tax bill for the year!!
(I know your's has a nice bit of tax on it btw!)
RE: E92 335i / Late E46 M3 possibly..
Try First Ireland, They were the only ones I could get a decent quote with. (Albeit on a Golf but I'm only 20)
By the way, Congrads on the purchase!!

No First Ireland do everything
RE: E92 335i / Late E46 M3 possibly..
Interesting, AIB wouldn't even quote me on the M3 as "you'd have to be 30 to insure a car like this". The usual nonesense!
RE: E92 335i / Late E46 M3 possibly..
Will try first ireland :)
Shane is insured with Liberty and when I called them they said they don't insure the M3 even if I was over 30... Nonesense indeed!
