Departure: 17:11 (Friday)
Back in Cork: 00:31 (Monday)

Average Speed: 47.1 MPH
Average Consumption: 29.1 MPG
All in all, enjoyed the weekend thoroughly and have gotten more attached to the car than ever... It was such a pleasure to drive up and down the country, so comfortable on the motorway and nimble on the -ridiculously smooth- back roads of Norther Ireland, amazing how quickly you get used to them and take them for granted - until you get back to avoiding craters after coming back over the border that is :(
Looking forward to the next couple of weekends away :D
Sounds like a good trip..good few miles covered anyway!
Now you're more used to it, do you find yourself using the paddle shifters at all or do you just leave it in auto and let it do the work? I'd like to think if I had something like an SMG M3 that I'd use the paddles
Speaking from currently owning a 335d and have had an e46 smg m3, with the "d" i let the auto box do the work and the smg i always manually changed gear. I suppect the "i" could be some what similar to the m3. Auto mode on the smg ii is terrible anyway :)Quote:

Yeah I have also heard that auto mode on the SMG models is pretty rubbish and still quite jerky and lazy..nowhere like an auto :hehe!:Quote:
