Jaysus thats nearly as bad as my hike on the 335d! Ended up with Arachas, didn't even bother ringing the last insurer to haggle if they play silly games like that.
Yep I can't wait to tell them where to stick it, what's the point in chasing off a customer like that anyways?
Already getting quotes online that are somewhat decent, many of them contact you by phone after getting online quotes to see if they can beat any other offers so hopefully that's what happens on Tuesday.

I've actually an interesting update on my insurance quotes.
Chill rang me back and said the best they could do was €3400 or something stupid.
I told her there's no way. She then asked if my parents both drive (which they do, with clean licences and no claims), she added them to my policy as named driver and my quote went down €700.
Now in saying that it's still really expensive but she said to go back to Liberty directly and try.
So I did exactly that and voila. €2500 to €1663 for the year. Cheaper than last year and possibly the best I can do.
So that's a bit of advice for anyone still living with the folks/or not[emoji14]

My bank actually gave me the best quote by miles this year never even thought of them before for insurance everywhere else were looking over a 1k boi came in same price i payed last year not bad on a 15 year old death trap (according to most Irish insurers) I won't have to buy that 10 year old corsa now after all lol
And so the hunt begins for affordable insurance for the m3..
I'm with Axa Direct, last year was €850, this year's quote is €1,200.20.
I'm 38, no points, no claims ever (apart from a windscreen). It's a pain in the hole, I'm sick of paying for the failure of Satanta Insurance, the cost of bailing out QuinnDirect and for every scumbag who stages fake crashes and milks the insurance company.
Definitely give an post insurance a shout John. My renewal on the M3 came in 500 more than last year at 1260. Ive just renewed with an post insurance for €900. Granted its more expensive than last year but no one else came close. Im 27 with 9 years no claims bonus, no points etc.
