Am I correct in thinking to do an auto-box reset on the e92 all I do is put the key in and press the start button without actually starting the car, and when all dash lights are on I just press the accelerator pedal to the floor and hold it there for 30 seconds?

I thouight that was just to recalibrate the drive-by-wire throttle pedal?
That could be right because I was thinking why would the pedal effect the gearbox! So is there some other way to do a reset? I had read somewhere that it's done while the car is in motion by putting it in neutral. So it's a bit confusing!
