Another e90 lifted getting very regular now http://touch.boards.ie/thread/2057198691/1/#post90129804
Is this causing any issues for people getting e90's insured ?
My car is sick. Again. This is getting frustrating.

Who needs to go driving in Italy and Switzerland when we have roads like this right here? :P

That's a serious stretch of road are any of ye going to the rally of the lakes ?
It was an absolute Joy to drive, it's between Kenmare and Killarney to be exact. Would highly recommend it. There's more in west cork near the ring of beara as well. Lots of lovely roads, some have crappy surfaces but there are a few hidden ribbons of tarmac that are just begging to be driven on!
@Steve320: Not sure I know what that is really will have a bit of a google :)
It looks alright, it's no Tallaght by-pass though...

Looks good, I'm working saturday and also moving house though so won't be able to make it. Take some photos :)
Have to agree with you Peter its a great road. Father is originally from Castletownbere so driving down there from limerick is good fun.Quote:

It's like a carefully designed race track in parts :D
Bluelines does anyone here run them without issue ?
Friend of mine put them on his e36 they destroyed the two rear top mounts with 24hrs of each other
So 4 new top mounts fitted all good but now 3 days later theres a bad knocking noise coming from the front shocks when driving mainly on uneven or bumpy roads they look good the drop is perfect once the helper springs were removed the ride is ok is well
Hes getting a bit pissed off with them though at this stage due to the knocking at the front
So are they a false economy or do any of you actually run them without issue ?
have em in the 36 they are budget and they do the job sounds like your mate doesnt have the top nut tight if the are knocking at the frontQuote:

In the front no not at all. Bit of an odd one your mate has going on there I must say. There's only so many things that can knock as you know.Quote:

im sculpting it from behind the scenes and hes happy enough to accept the advice  next up is new brakes all round then a full body makeover as its been brushwashed all its life so paint is really not up to standard a few trim pieces replaced and a good detail+engine bay clean rocker cover painted etc and it should be up there with the best of them
The price of new s50 pistons! :surprised::surprised:

s50 pistons 86 mm and m47 crank 87 mm 2l
S52 pistons 86.5 and m47 crank 87 mm 2.05l
S50 pistons and m44 crank 1.9l
S52 pistons and m44 crank 1.95l
Would those 4 cyl ones in the link be suitable?
###edit just read they can make any spec for that price. Interesting stuff. Cheers for the link!
Just watching Bucky butler Henderson testing the F10, didn't realise they cane with 4 wheel steering. Is it an option or standard on all cars?
Only an option I'm afraid !Quote:

From what ive been reading you should avoid the m47n as its too short and will need to be extended so essentially you'd be running a 2 part crank. The m47 is a straight fit but needs some adjustment on the keyway i think its called. Very interesting stuff but concrete info is not documented very well. Taking a lot of time to gather info.
