Good suggestion alright lads, and one which I would've jumped on 3 weeks ago, only, with an expanding family this is my final fun car/impractical 2 door car (for a few years anyway).

I'm sure it's been suggested, but if you want impractical and 2 door, what about a Z4M coupe? Or indeed an M3?

I saw a smashine E90 LCI 330i MSport yesterday in black for sale yesterday, can't find it now though! It was 08 Irish reg with low tax 570 pa. Think it was around the 15k mark. Lovely carQuote:

That e90 looks like an absolute beauty
Found it - apologies, its a 325i and its 2009, good price for a lovely car, i'd definitely have it over an E92Quote:

Love the car hate the plate [emoji1]
It is a stunning machine though [emoji41]
I know what you are saying but I think its very snobbish/ignorant just disregarding every car with a DL reg.Quote:

Need 4 seats...due to babyseat requirements. As for the M3, I cant stomach the motortax and all thats left worth buying are forum cars at a premium (and rightly so). Anything else is a ticking timebomb if you ask me, due to a combination of age/price point that makes them buyable for young lads without a clue of the maintainence involved. Slight stereotype I know, but I've seen it first hand a couple of times now.Quote:

The third rule of 6 cylinder thread is......apparently we can kinda talk about them if they have a turbo

Dunno what this is after VRT but it looks like a nice car.

£13,995 is about Eur18,860+Eur8,149 VRT = Eur27,909Quote:

Any import sums I've done this past 10 days are off the scale. 9k for an 09 335i, 11k for a 10 335i! It's eye watering.Quote:

Did a bit of digging around UK cars yesterday. Even with the exchange rate, call it frustration! Give you a laugh though..a Mar 2010 335d M Sport LCI, fully loaded. Revenue have the OMSP down for €36k - yes 3-6 not a typo. FFS. The resulting VRT was over €10.5k :(
VRT stat code: 41886578
Its a joke reason i barely post here is because i simply cant find anything for you pickings are slim at best as you clearly see from above the uk is also not an option
The state has clearly succeeded in rightly fucking the car market up for the entusiast and once the final nail is in the coffin for the petrol head they will turn all attention toward nailing the diesel driver tell tail signs are already surfacing
Can't vouch for the car or the dealer tbh but dealer is only down the road from me if you wanted me to have a nosey @[Ciars]

If you're not doing much mileage at the moment and you've a budget of €15k, it's weird to suggest, but the sensible thing if it was my money would be to buy an M3 for about €13k and spend the difference on the difference in tax for 4 years or so (if that makes sense)
Not my money though
Agree with Don, the left over money for tax and insurance and maybe some upgrades/servicing.
+1 If kept well you wont suffer much depreciation, if i sold the m3 i had now, rather than a year ago id get a decent bit more for it. Well minded ones will always be worth something :)Quote:
