I think it will look better with a six cylinder engine.
I don't like it and I voted No, but I accept it's conceivable that it could grow on me and it might look better in the flesh.
Apart from the huge grill I think it looks great. It will take some time to get used to that face though.
Stuck a similar point on a different thread in relation to stupidly oversized front grilles - the 7 LCI is almost 18 month old now. Anyone think it looks good now that some time has passed?

I think we should open a book on how many of the people voting that they can't get past the looks (4 series) will own one of these in the next, say, 10 years?
On the 7er and X5 / X7 the size is somewhat an issue but in time I'll be able to see past it. I think I've more issue with the fact they appear to be cheap quality...almost as if they took an OEM grille and wrapped it in Chrome.
The 7 series grille still looks a bit OTT, but the 4 series is on a different level. It's not just about the size but the shape. I get they might be an homage to the earlier days of the marque, but I'm just not sure it works. It's like it's trying to respect both the earlier tall/narrow style and the newer wide/deep style but it achieves neither and just ends up looking confused.
So let's review, 80% of BMW enthusiasts think it's hideous :D
Your move, BMW.
