I am looking at bringing in one of these myself in the new year. So I plugged the details into the vrt calculator to see what the difference would be. At the moment there are 4 m sport 530e on the calculator. Am I right in saying the 530e got a bigger battery early 2019 hence the different co2 rating and possibly a change from NEDC to WLTP? The example I used on the calculator was a July 2018 with 30k MILES, that car should get a €2000 rebate under the current system. The figures are as follows:
38g old vrt €2789, new vrt €2394
41g old vrt €2229, new vrt €2114
46g old vrt €2080, new vrt €2028
49g old vrt €1374, new vrt €1687
*Nox not included
While not a huge change it seems in most cases it will be cheaper to bring one in, that's provided there isn't a no deal brexit.
