I would too, it all feels off

Have to say the same about Mick, continued to support my NBT install well past expected timeframe, all FoC, I'd have no problem recommending him.
Firstly, I've had no issues with any work he's done for me.
However - while one or two of those reviews seem a bit off, some of them are too heavy on detail to be dismissed imo. When I mentioned him in relation to some work on my Cayman on a Porsche forum, I received a few PM's that were not complimentary. That said - I'd still have used him for work on the fleet.
He did work for me on a 997. I did have a number of issues with the work some which rendered the car undrivable for a number of days because it would not lock and the dash lit up like a christmas tree. Then the new amp would not work so we changed the headunit at my expense, still same problem, so he came out to my house and tried to fix it but to no avail. Eventually I found the issue myself and fixed it myself (reversed inputs and a bad ground). However he did go out of his way to fix them out of hours and they were fixed albeit the stereo system was never perfect and would take a few minutes to turn on after the car started.
I personally think he is a very nice chap, but always was running late, and underestimating the time jobs would need. When I was around his house, there was streams of fellows turning up with issues needing fixing. Another guy on a Porsche forum rang me saying he was having the same issues, a number of months after I sold my 911, wondering what my experiance was....I think maybe he is not as good on Porsche as BMW. I am surprised at the reviews online. He does sell internationally and I am surprised with what is said. He was very honorable regarding money with me, but it took a lot of time to get sorted and 3 of my weekends were ruined dropping off, picking up and troubleshooting the car. He ripped the leather in the car too, but in the end I gave up.
Still posted my car on the internet mind you http://www.backroads.ie/forums/showt...adunit-upgrade all the pictures are gone missing.
I don't have anything to say really bar the above. I have never dealt with or even spoken to the man. I tried unsuccessfully for two weeks to get in touch with him to no avail. After that and bearing in mind some of the google stuff/ PMs I recieved about him here and elsewhere I decided to take my custom to another supplier for a large audio install.
I only made the above comment to ensure the OP is aware of what's out there regarding feedback about him as he provides the sort of work that you really want done right first time.
tried to code LCI lights in my E60 , started the job , didn't finished as didn't had enough parts as original bmw connections ,take money as for done job straight away . after next half day job ,walking around with cigarette, said that my light control module is bad, which was from 100% running car .Again left the car with not done work, and after was just pushing the time .So never finished his job ,but I payed him full price, this is how trader acts to trader ,first sign not to trust !! another guy with same work was told that parts he got are not good , took all full price and after kept pushing the time . installed some sound system in other customers car, start acting very bad after few days , his answer, something wrong with car ,but not his parts or job . and its not the end of story .
Out of curiosity / interest who else is doing cic/nbt retrofits and coding?
Can't speak for the retrofit stuff but I'm struggling to find someone else to do coding for me.
Stumbled onto a garage in Dublin that claim to be BMW experts and offer coding so I'm gonna ring the next week and see. I can PM you their details if you need?
Otherwise there's a member on here that seems to do a lot of it but I believe he's in the south.
