Totally agree on the name, the "M3" name is iconic and has massive heritage. The M4 name just doesn't.
Having said that, I do like it. Not 100% on the wheels either, I actually think they look too big for the car (must be 20's). It actually reminds me of the way Jaguar stuck 20's on the facelifted first generation XK (X100) which looked way to big for the car.
