Yeah but you're talking about seriously exclusive panels, the last time I checked 8-10k was the price of an OLED. I just hope my plasma last long enough for them to become affordable.Quote:

More of a rant this.
Spent another chunk of another Saturday off to go take a look at some cars I'd lined up in garages around Dublin. Christ, its some joke. And no grains of salt necessary, this is true to my word:
Garage 1 - newcomer only opened up, didn't have a list of their stock online, so cold called.
Friendly greeting. Stated I was in the hunt for an E92 M Sport coupe. What model is that? I was greeted with. Ok I said, sorry BMW 3 series coupe. What year was that? I was greeted with! Anyway long story short, few BMW's in stock, but a promising looking setup. 1st week blues so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
Garage 2 - E92 DIEsel M-Sport coupe, advertised and I quote "Pristine condition".
Upon arrival, no greeting, no sign of the salesman approaching me. Grand, this suits me initially. Find the car myself in the forecourt in a sea of imports. As soon as I saw it, from the front my back was up. Bumper totally misaligned with the bonnet. Fair enough, onto the rest of the car. Down the drivers side, ok not perfect, but what do I expect for a 7 year old car, no hang on I was told "pristine". Continuing on the drivers side, get to the rear quarter and boot, 4 dents in a circle and paint damage down to metal. Mind made up. Forget it. Had a look round the rest of it anyway. Inside doorcard scraped across the whole aluminium inserts / leather torn / door ding and scrape. Onto passenger side, HUGE straight line dent the whole way down the middle of the door. To me it looked like another cars door cleaned this one out! Left frustrated.
Garage 3 - E92 6 pot Diesels
Arrived and skipped the first one almost immediately as it was a base spec SE, not the M Sport quoted in the ad. Nevermind, onto the 2nd one in stock. A lovely 3L Diesel well spec'd. Took a look around the rear as I had approached it boot to boot with the SE. So far so good, looks promising. Around to drivers, few bits of tidying which I don't mind. Onto the front, booom. The car, plain to see, had taken a low speed thump on drivers front, as recent as probably the last test drive, as I was able to run my finger over the dust left behind by the damage and lift the freshly shatted clear coat. Front lower bumper up to headlight (slight crack) and as far as the bonnet lip and kidey grills all showing the signs of a fresh kiss with something with a bit of give - maybe another cars bumper. I brought this to the salesmans attention who went into the office muttering something and never came back to me. Anyway I finished looking at the car down the passenger side, balls. Filler on rear passenger quarter and a bad paint job. It's like someone forgot to use the oul P1000+ pads to finish it with lines in the finish which caught my nail when I ran it by it :(
Garage 4 - E92 Petrol M-Sport coupe
Ran out of the forecourt, sorry we're closing (it was 2:20pm). Fcuked if I'll ever visit this one again, even if gets in exactly what I want.
Garage 5 - Assortment of early F10's / Late E90 M-Sports (I know, nothing what I'm looking for, but I've grown bored of searching)
Presented really well on their site, however, mileage stated versus on the clocks way out - is this a tactic to lure someone into the garage and off their website? Annoying, much like a price of POA.
Frustrating day. Dunno if the above, the fruitless searching, or sacrificing a few precious weekend hours with the baba for this crap is the most annoying!
Rant over.
Went throught similar nonsense trying to source a Mercedes for the girlfriends parents.Quote:

Kept searching though and eventually found a cracking E350 CDI AMG sport in a Charles Hurst second hand dealership if all places.
Keep searching is the key. Took us from xmas to find the right car.
Every so often an be pops up on donedeal for a 95 rs2000 but the seller is saying it's 4x4. But I though the engine would be turned for it to be 4x4 no?
Sent from my WT19i using Tapatalk 2
They are a FWD biased 4x4 so engine is still mounted like a FWD.
Same as the Mk1 4x4 Mondeo.
Think the Mitsubishi Evo engine is also mounted like a FWD car?
Transverse mounted.Quote:
