OE is the exact part used on production line and approved by BMW.
OEM is the same part from the company that makes it without BMW logo?
^^^ Pretty much, oem doesn't necessarily mean it's the same part just that it comes from a manufacturer that supplies OE parts.
Which is why I die a little inside when people say they want to make their car oem condition. It makes no sense.
Am I confusing myself here then, thinking an alternator made by Bosch that has BMW stamped on it is OEM, where as the same alternator with Bosch only stamped is OE?Quote:
