Have declared all my mods and valuations to my broker. Seems to be proving very difficult to insure the m3. Probably should have said nothing. Would have insured it just fine if I didn't declare.
Still working on it
I'm 25, 7 years NCB, no points, no endorsements etc.
Renewed my insurance at the end of April.
Car in question is an 2007 520d.
Current insurance company ( sent a renewal quote of 1800, bet it down to 1600. (3rd party fire and theft)
Tried multiple brokers/companies same ballpark as my renewal.
Ended up getting a quote from liberty ONLINE. - 800 fully comp.
In my last 8 years driving I've never gotten a realistic quote from liberty/Quinn.
Apparently it's high risk because it was a popular "reps car"
123.ie again this year for me and the wife
320€ for herself on the 2006 520d
420€ for myself on the 2007 535d
Can’t go wrong, will do the ‘classics’ next year
Aviva for me on the 540i this month.
Last year, €2,071 Fully Comp
This year's renewal, €1,783, nearly a full €300 less, can't complain too much!
I'm 24 for reference.

44 year old male with a full Irish license for 19 years and claims free driving for longer. Changed to a 2015 530d earlier this year. Renewal came in last week gone up from paying €700 last year on a 520d, to €1300 this year.
Shopped around and got it for €886 in the end with Allianz. Liberty quoted me €2500.
The M3 was always quite cheap to insure for me, considering the type of car. I need to check the records, but I'm fairly sure at one point it was sub €600 for me
I just got the renewal notice from Post Insurance - €829 down from €885 last year. Will shop around tomorrow.
any recommendations for a 25 y/o 4 years no claims bonus, having difficulty getting quotes online.
In the market for e60 530/535 e53 x5 etc but no point buying if insurance is going to be a headache
e90 320d 2008 - last year €800, this year renewal €987 - with Axa through AA. Check 123.ie and same terms (with full NCD protection) €530!! Ridiculous.
I got my insurance renewal on the Z4, and though I came to them with 6 years NCB, now a year later (I should have 7 years NCB) they put down 6 years NCB on the cert, when I called they said that's the maximum they give? Is this a load of crap or what?
Just got me renewal for e46 m3 from chill. Same as last year 1500. 30 years, 9+NCB bla bla bla. Strangely I signed relief when it didnt go up. As nobody else would insure me.
Last year, e90 M3 fully comp protected bonus car + key rescue €806 with AXA
Renewal came in at €766 so interesting that it is down a bit.
Few phone call and the usual haggling saw AIB (underwritten by AXA) for €755 - AA €798 (haggled down from €987) AVIVA €1553 123 no quote online
Got a renewal quote with An Post for the M3 last week. Actually went down on what I paid last year by about €70. When I phoned them up asking them to do better they brought it down from €830 to €800 but when I told them about my 3 points it flew up to €920. I told them it was totally ridiculous to increase by that much and with some wrangling got him back to €840. Not terrible I guess.
36 full NCB 3 points and parked in Dublin 16.
My renewal came in yesterday. €808 fully comp on the 530d. 31 full NCB and no points
I don't know how ye are doing it
mines Eur1000 on a 2ltr gttdi 32 and 14 years ncb and no points ,axa didn't charge me anything for changing over to the 330d seeing as I was in the last 2 months of the policy and ive been with them for years
god knows what number they will pull out of the sky for the renewal in November
My insurance up for renewal next month been getting a couple of quote. I'm 25 driving a 2008 130i msport, 2 years no claims and 4 years named driving experience with full licence 7 years. I have my gf named on the policy to bring it down a little. Best quote was €1050 fully comp with axa, then highest I got was 2k with allianz. There was a couple of quotes around €1300 and several declined quotes. Think I'll be going with Axa
insurance renewal came in at €950 for the M135i with Allianz through Arachas, rang them up and they best they could drop it was to €830. I've gone with An Post for €501 and I've dropped the open drive, I never needed it really.
33 with 10 years NCB and no points.
AIG tells me that 6 years NCB is the max bonus and that’s all they’ll be able to give me even though I have more. Is this BS or was anybody else told something similar from their insurance company?
Edit: that means 6 years is all they’ll say I have come renewal if I go to another company too
I sure hope so!
